Outlook 2007 Crashes after 20â30 seconds
Hi TieT,
If you create a new test mailbox-enabled user, and log on the fresh installted client, will the Outlook be crashed?
If it works for the test user, please try to run the cmdlet New-MailboxRepairRequest
against 3 problematic mailboxes.

Please also check whether the 3 users can open OWA or not.

Im having trouble with outlook on a client Computer and im out of ideas...
We use Outlook 2007 with sp 3 and Exchange 2010sp1 with rollup 6 installed
The problem can be recreated on a XP and W7 computer
What i've tried are the following:
- Deleted the user profile on AD
- Deleted the mailbox on Exchange and made a new one (imported his mails in the new MB)
- Installed office again
- Disabled Outlook Addins in the registry
- Disabled Exchange cached mode in outlook
- Switching Computers
When i install Office2007 the problem isn't there, when i update to SP3 i'm having trouble...
Kinda strange because we have 80 users and only 3 are experiencing problems.
The updates are pushed thru WSUS.
Here is a detailed log of the error:

what i did notice is:
When in OWA one user cannot see the future in his agenda, only the past.
It just keeps searching for a future date but cannot complete the request.

- Switching Computers
only 3 are experiencing problems
Hi TieT,
Do you mean the Oulook will be crashed if all users log on to these 3 problematic clients to configurate their own Windows profiles and Outlook profiles? However, if uses log on to another client, it works?
Seems like this is an Outlook client issue, if possible, please reinstall OS for one client computer to test.
By the way, you can also seek the solution in the Outlook forum:

I've tried everything
A fresh installed computer with only Office, then loggin on the user.
The only conclusion i can make is that, when i install SP3 for office, outlook begins te crash
This is what i get when using Visual Studio
Unhandled exception at 0x2f161c8c in OUTLOOK.EXE: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x000012ef.
I've been searching in the forum for 2 weeks now, my problem isn't there.
Kind regards

Hi frank, sorry for the late reply.
Im really busy these days... not funny anymore.
Anyways, i created the testmailbox and outlook didn't crash.
It was a regular PC that we use here with all the updates from WSUS.
So now im running the New-MailboxRepairRequst against a mailbox database because the problem is stretching further than the 3 users i mentioned...
Someones laptop died and i gave him a new one just like always, he logged in and outlook started to crash.
He never had any problems before, really strange
